The First in a Designer’s D117 Collection

Crafted for a New York-based (at the time) designer, this unique desk was designed with the modern minimalist in mind.

The designer chose quarter-sawn white oak for the desktop surface.  Cable management is discreetly integrated into the construction of this first piece in the designer’s custom collection.  With the power strip and keyboard tray, you tick all the boxes of must-haves in a serviceable desk.

The subtle grain in this desk’s surface pairs well with the designer’s choice of furniture legs and with the overall streamlined appearance.  A pocketed grid on the underside was his strategy for weight management and to maintain the flat surface.  This detail is almost too pretty to conceal.

This designer is creating a collection which is well suited to mid-century modern, contemporary, or minimalist décor.
